Sometimes it takes a sleepless night
To awaken from a dream
To realize that the cloud you walk,
Is not as real as it had seemed
Sometimes it takes a moment,
To cancel out a life
Realize that the faith you had,
Is now lost with just one lie
Sometimes it takes a player
To come in to your heart
To realize that the charm and wit,
Are just their form of art
Sometimes it takes a heart of gold,
To melt and turn to stone
To realize that, all along,
Your love has always, been alone
Sometimes itβs best to trust your gut,
Because it is your best friend
Only then youβll shorten, false loves pain,
And get quicker to the end
I hope this was not your own experience, though, if it was you’ve summed it up in a perfectly profound way and it seems an epiphany of the heart was had…

It’s everyones experience at one time in their lives, isn’t it A. ?

Unfortunately, I believe so – we all most cross paths with unkind souls now and again. It’s sad to read about your poet’s heart being hurt… π I suppose writing, arting and the like help mend the wounds…

You have a great creative evening… As for me, it seems one of my eyes refuses to cooperate and it’s only 9 – geez – I remember when staying up ’til 2 am was normal π My sketch will have to wait ’til morning.
Have a great week of penning wonderful prose!

So different from yesterday’s poem but every bit as beautiful π You know, I think it might be more beautiful because I can feel your soul pressing through. Hugs

I’ve been this villain so described many times over, in my former life.

I’m glad you said you’re alright. There’s just not enough good poet’s in this world to lose even one of you, but judging by your offering tonight, there’s been no permanent damage done to that beautiful heart of yours. This makes me very happy. Believe me, the world doesn’t want to have to settle for my poetry, they’re much happier with my Tall Tales. I usually leave the poems to you “sensitive” types, and that’s much better for all concerned. Take care now, and I’ll read you later.

An angelic compliment, D. Your tales ARE tall and I should get by to read more very soon. All ok, just wrapped up in day to day things that don’t enable me to be here much. Sad, it is my favorite place to be π Most well wishes for a wonderful weekend π H.
