My hearts been living homeless, just waiting around for you
It’s been in and out of shelters, from abuse, that’s nothing new
It hates the cold but bares the rain,
Of teardrops falling, lost love again
“Homeless Heart, I hear him coming”,
I feel new warmth run up my spine
“What do you say we trust this one,
And pray that all be fine?”
“I’m getting older now and quite run down”,
Homeless Heart then said to me
“But I still need a place to call my own,
Where love finds harmony”
“I’m so full with all that hearts can give,
This road’s so long, and I am tired”
“I want to nestle into caring arms,
That place that we all desire”
His hand lifts up to brush the piece
Of hair that’s in my face,
Back of his hand, he strokes my cheek,
Gently, filled with grace
His soft voice spoke no promises,
So nothing could be broke
He spoke of wishes, hopes and dreams,
It was then, Homeless Heart awoke
Heart raced, became overwhelmed with heat,
Asked “Oh my, am I sick?”
“Why no, not at all, this is very good,
You’ve just never felt like this”
“It is love you are feeling of the purest kind,
Rejoice,
You’re no longer alone”
He pulled me close, eyes confirming my wish
My heart now has a home
It was a walk hand in hand,
Unspecific in time,
A stroll on a day
Without reason or rhyme
Nothing was thought,
Nothing was said,
We shuffled our feet
On the road slow ahead
It was simple, relaxed
When our eyes, they met
A moment I’ve never,
Felt as of yet
Your eyes said you’d love me,
Forever and a day
Your lips didn’t move,
There was nothing to say
A fleeting moment of truth,
A moment fleeting in time,
A nonchalant walk
When I learned you were mine
It can be that easy, t’was shown today
All that we seek,
Just a quick glimpse away.

To the Pergola below we’ll go,
You take your book,
And I’ll bring mine
We’ll go to the shady side of Sunday,
Where the sun in this garden, cannot shine
Through the aged kiwi, fruit not yet to bare,
But relieves us from heat,
Of summers moist air
Where white petal blossoms join dense green leaves,
A blanket of nature perfumes the hot breeze
We sit and we read
Under blue skies divide
Exchange a soft glance,
As birds choir , fly high
Nimble and free,
Up towards the sun
Up towards just what,
We sought shelter from
Blessed this day in our Pergola garden,
Sun abound,
For our eyes to see,
Blessed this day in our place of nature
Shady comfort,
The Kiwi Tree

A simple rhyme to engrave in my mind
A memory of a world
Not far away
In time
A Home for many, a place for some
A glimpse of the Village
Where my man is from
A life quite different to which I was raised
The life that they had
To which I’m amazed
Here lives the proof
Of blood sweat and tears
As seen in their homes
That were crafted through years
Abandoned by many
Still treasure by some
The home of great grandpa
Where his life begun
As we sit in the rain of this vacant Home
The one that they built with their hands
Stone by stone
Visions of Childhood, now cigar in his hand
The elements of life, which made this strong man
Where they’d harvest their field
Weathered snow, rain and sun
Hard times
Simple life
Forgotten by none
To live off the land for food on the table
With pigs in the pen
The horse in the stable
Corn fields and cherry trees just outside
They worked as a family to stay alive
Fields of memories race through the head
Of hard times shared for their daily bread
But of good times had spent as a boy
Chasing ducks, hunting snakes
Nature as toy
I lived in the moment back in time
Imagined how beautiful when the sun had shined
Laying in meadows with grass swaying tall
How wonderful he was
When my Man was small
Mesmerized beauty
Succumbed by the hand of nature
Amongst the lush of Earths foliage moist
Colors born to flowers
Frost bows to warmth
The vocal fight of birds and roosters
Unsynchronized harmony
For their presence of center stage
My ears now as full
As my eyes
Church steeple peeks its head
Through the low lying dwells of the village
Commanding my attention to shift
As now it speaks
Mesmerized beauty halts
Mournfully chiming 83 strokes for the villager
That today, no longer
In attendance of nature’s display
The birds sing louder
The roosters roar
Bringing the sun through the rain
Perhaps for him,
The villager past
To lift his soul higher for the travel
Home
The life of Trichiana
Both Sorrowful and sweet
Mesmerized again
No,
The day was not long
T’was not
The season of love
And the Sky
This day
Not abundant with sun
Nothing smelt sweet
The birds were not singing
No music was playing
With melodic meaning
Children’s laughter
Did not fill the air
Fields of fresh flowers
Not seen everywhere
The moon was not full
Nor on the rise
No,
Just simply us
On a first love reprise
Were we made our own beauty
We created for us
The prefect illusion
Of passion and lust
We had once
filled pastures
With the flowers in bloom
Where we were the music
That hung under the moon
Just a memory
Of a day
We knew would not last
Just a priceless piece
Of a once
Perfect past
My darkness is naked,
You come as my light
I follow your glimmer
Deep into night
Fear falls behind
As trust grabs my hand
Lead me away
To somewhere unplanned
Feet moving freely
On cobblestone air
Gliding so smoothly
Without such a care
You’re guiding me now
A fantasy flight
We blow past the stars
Our spirits ignite
Ablaze are our souls
A mystical view
What I’ve left behind
To trust this in you
As we whirl high upon
Between heaven and earth
Our worlds now collided
With joyous free mirth
Take me, my Light,
My darkness recedes!
I trust you!
I lust you!
You’ve planted the seed
Let it grow
Let it thrive
Keep my spirit this free
For I’ve yearned for the time
To have freedom from me
Daunted by the wind
She is not,
Comfort in opposition
In which she can rise
Unlike the Man
She is
The bird of nature
Fixated on the mission
Of her flight
Obstacles
A positive,
Strategy of thought
Survival
Instinct
Goes untaught
Perspective
Insight
Keeps her alive,
Obstructed by adversity
The bird surely will die
Embrace the elements of the wind
As life mishap unfolds
Live life as the Bird in the sky
Daring to be bold
For I am the Child
That I was long ago
I exist
Sacred corner of my soul
I cannot taste the bitter
I know not of the wrong
I am pure and simple
Unscathed by years lorn
Upholding dreams
Against acquisition of fear
That Childs life eternal
An end will draw near
Belligerent for answers
My adult counterpart
Why kill the child
That’s born to our heart
With love she will flourish
With peace of mankind
Our child within
An inquisitive mind
Taint her please not
With knowledge of war
Injure her not
Of the lonely and poor
Let just a piece
A small piece of soul
House our dear child
To chaperone us old
A reminder of beauty
Of trust and those kind
A shield from the truth
Of ruined mankind
For I am the Child
That I was long ago
Let me live on
To never let go
I held you in my arms
Rocked away your tears
Skimmed stones upon the water
Tea parties in early years
There for you when you came home
Spoke about your day
There for you when you would call
When things were not ok
Shared the joys and milestones
Of yours as well as mine
One others strength in times of darkness
Together we found light
With planted seed a role was given
To last my whole life through
To love and guide
Honor
Respect
The ever changing you
I’m more tired now as I grow old
And you so very strong
Choose wisely now
My Darling Daughters
And find where you belong
Remember your past
From where you’re from
Don’t hide in memories pain
Life has a way of mending itself
To get on your feet again
The highs don’t stay nor do the lows
Nothing stays the same
Now go on
Sweet Children
In to your world
Grab that dream
That bares
Your name
I love you my Darling
As you lay fast asleep
I love you my Darling
Breathe slow and deep
In the light of love
Of all you hold dear
In the light of life
Of all you endear
Drenched in the moonlight
I lay by your side
Your Silhouette falling
Into my eyes
Wander your dreams
Of colors surreal
Fly through the clouds
Make impossible real
Let this night take you
Far and away
For you’re loved and protected
As long here I lay
Early spring night
Yet so sultry and warm
Guide him now
Bring him back for dawn
I love you my darling
Breathe slow and deep
I love you my Love
As you travel your sleep

My Twins are Seventeen Today. Happy Birthday, Girls. This ones for you!
Motherhood comes to my door
Imagine the glory within
Indescribable feelings soar
Announcing birth of twins
Seventeen years later to this day
Into womanhood I watch them sway
Filled with life and dreams to dare
While growing wings to take them there
