It’s the time
When the moon,
Gives its way,
To the rising sun
A brief moment when…
All is still
And a second when…
All is clear
The dividing line,
Of a past
Not yet to be,
The future
Become caught
In that time
And live life,
As if it is your dawn
I’ve decided I want yesterday,
More than I want tomorrow
That day we never cherished much,
That day confused with sorrow
I have decided today to chase my heart,
The one I suddenly found
I want to do it all over again,
My life should be rewound
I want the chance to plan it out
With knowledge in my mind,
Not to drift haphazardly
With luck that I might find
Bodily strength, to take on those hours,
Just a couple, left over each day
Use them with integrity
Because life, it’s not a play
The time spent as a dress rehearsal,
Was no rehearsal at all
We know that only really when
The final curtain falls
So I want it back, those yesteryears
And all those yesterdays,
The time I have in front of me
Isn’t enough now anyway
I know now what I want to do,
It’s more than what I’ve done
A few decades back I want to slip,
So that Someone I’d become
“Subconsciously aware or consciously unaware”
The script of my life that’s composed each day.
As the seconds sweep by that just don’t last,
As the hours turned day, that I just let pass
The pleasure of love hangs still in the moment,
The moments of sadness when pleasure gets hung
A balance of chapters in our lifes book
Moments like these that go unsung
We looked into each other’s eyes,
Last night’s moon,as she gleamed a bold gold
I saw her beauty, did she see mine?
Scripted, saved forever in my soul
Today our sun shines, its rays reach my life
Spring colors, spring sounds,
Fresh, sweet
The forest so dense, epitome of grandeur,
A day script for me complete
The seconds, those hours,
These days as we live,
Our eyes and our senses, our script they shall give
Its meaning, its memory
Its rhythm and rhyme,
Don’t wait for a milestone to see that your time
Is gone once again and a part of the past
Be conscious,
Aware,
This life’s likely your last
