Trying to forgive,
Reconciling the past
Undermining lies
Still haunt her
To this day, she can’t

Sometimes I just lay, and take in the day
Oblivious to all that’s around
Mindlessly enjoying time as it flies
Eager for nothing but sheer silenced sound
Traipsing through and around my mind,
Intimate day dreams, which come one by one
Masquerade the truth, new fantasies born
Enjoying this day, of unrealistic fun
Sometimes, just sometimes

Travel I will, but without you
Into the air, high up in the sky
Moving across the vast ocean blue
Each beat of my heart cries a goodbye
Apart for the first, the very first time,
Weeks will feel like years
Anticipating already, your touch, your smile
Your hand back in mine, I’ll miss you my Dear

The Daily Post Writing challenge for today.
https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_assignment/writing-201-trust/
Extend your soul from its deepest self
Meeting sorrow while not fearing pain
Place your feet in their shoes of sadness,
Accepting tears as moments, of emotional rain
Tire your ears as you unscramble words
Hearing truly, just with your heart
You’ll reach the threshold of empathy, if you’re willing to give it a shot
