friendship

I could sit here and write my life away,
Hour by hour, there’s so much to say
About happiness, sadness, me and you
I could sit forever and to me be true

To open my mind that feverishly runs,
To open my heart right now
I am caught in the moment of inspirational awe,
Caught in a time where I know no flaw

Because nothing else matters,
I’m here where I am
Feeling free in my spirit
Feeling free of command

You know it also, Venkat, Jay blue
Peter and Easter, it’s happened to you!
Just ask Morgan she will tell,
Sometimes our thoughts come out so well

The humorus ben bitter,
Harry, Paul, Richard, delight
Star, Bellfiglio
I keep them in sight.

The power and glory,
The mommy of boys,
To when we, I think,
Are inspired by joy
When our words become one
With paralleled minds,
We support each other,
We’re one of a kind

We drink cause we’re poets,
We write ’cause our heads
Can’t rest at night full,
As we lay down to bed

So join me with, the spirit of us,
Contingency persona and
A man called Russ

There’s black and white
With political views,
There’s poets with poems
That all have a view

Let’s rejoice in the fun,
The friendship, the Art
The poets Poet,
Keeps us close in our hearts

Thank you to all for the inspiration you have given me and the Friendship of common bonds that we share-

I wish you and all here at WordPress a very “creative” Day…..Bless all 🙂

Shady Side of Sunday

To the Pergola below we’ll go,
You take your book,
And I’ll bring mine
We’ll go to the shady side of Sunday,
Where the sun in this garden, cannot shine

Through the aged kiwi, fruit not yet to bare,
But relieves us from heat,
Of summers moist air
Where white petal blossoms join dense green leaves,
A blanket of nature perfumes the hot breeze

We sit and we read
Under blue skies divide
Exchange a soft glance,
As birds choir , fly high

Nimble and free,
Up towards the sun
Up towards just what,
We sought shelter from

Blessed this day in our Pergola garden,
Sun abound,
For our eyes to see,
Blessed this day in our place of nature
Shady comfort,
The Kiwi Tree

“Subconsciously aware or consciously unaware”
The script of my life that’s composed each day.
As the seconds sweep by that just don’t last,
As the hours turned day, that I just let pass

The pleasure of love hangs still in the moment,
The moments of sadness when pleasure gets hung
A balance of chapters in our lifes book
Moments like these that go unsung

We looked into each other’s eyes,
Last night’s moon,as she gleamed a bold gold
I saw her beauty, did she see mine?
Scripted, saved forever in my soul

Today our sun shines, its rays reach my life
Spring colors, spring sounds,
Fresh, sweet
The forest so dense, epitome of grandeur,
A day script for me complete

The seconds, those hours,
These days as we live,
Our eyes and our senses, our script they shall give
Its meaning, its memory
Its rhythm and rhyme,
Don’t wait for a milestone to see that your time

Is gone once again and a part of the past
Be conscious,
Aware,
This life’s likely your last

Empty Hand

I’ve never had anyone
Reach out and take my hand
I’ve never had anyone
Perhaps just once or twice

I’ve never had anyone
To tell me that I’m good
I’ve never had anyone
To tell me I’d suffice,
To become once something worthy,
To being something grand

I’ve never had anyone
That lent a helping hand

The walk alone was painful
But a blessing in disguise
Traveling with empty hands
Life learned through my own eyes

“Thank you for the hand not given”
I can now reflect and say
Despite life paved with broken glass
I’ve found myself, my way

Tell Me the Truth

Whispers of your body are heard in my heart
Secrets of your soul, shared in your eyes
Please now come forth
With your words…

The longing to hear
What my senses tell,
Confirm your truth right now, I ask
The sooner you do, the sooner I,
Can in your sweet love bask

I’ll cradle your love
That you give me, new born
With time you will see it grow
We can’t reap the harvest unless you now,
Give us the seeds to sow

So set yourself free
In the arms of my warmth,
Secure your life in mine
I’ll give you strength to carry on
With spirit of love sublime

Please tell me the truth
Right here, right now
The truth I already know,
That your love is as dear
As mine is for you
I beg for your words to flow

Approaching on trying times
When easiest to close our eyes,
Are the obstacles
Rigorously so,
Engraved upon our mind
Nothing remains the same,
Exception of, neither good nor bad
Soulfully see where you are now,
Seek knowledge you know you have

When I wish to be somewhere over the rainbow,
Doesn’t that mean
Somebody over there wishes to be where I am now?

I see me now,
And reflect on a time when
Once lost ,
Needing to be found again

I see those years,
Just a walk on part
On the stage
Of my life
In a house I occupied,
But where I did not
Live
In a bed I slept,
But did not
Dream

My echoing thoughts,
A confirmation
Of loneliness,
Filled with emptiness,
Although be it without solitude

The night could have been day,
The day could have been night
Irrelevant
For I mourned both,
But wished,
Both away
Dark sadness

Medicine,
A mere band aid
For an open bleeding heart
Time,
Hurt in the moment
Hurt as it passed
Yet stood still as it ran

It was then when I had
Cancer of the Soul,
Living lifeless,
Needing to be born again
Not wanting to grow old

Private Picnic With the Sun

River-Meadow_Sunset_1200x800

The meadow was ours,
As was the day
The sky, a vast sea of blue
Still breeze soothed the confronting heat,
Mirage of summer shone through

Sunday, snail paced
Chilled wine held in hand,
Passing the hours away
When gifting the sky sudden colors pastel,
A spectators´ spectacle displayed

T’was the sun casting down to the waiting land,
A parting of beauty with grace
Softly she set behind a hill,
When you gently caressed my face

As if to say thank you for sharing my world,
And our private picnic today
Hand in hand in lovers bliss,
Till the moon came up, we laid

And what is your alternate persona,
Dear stranger?
Closet junkie,
Losing gambler,
Crooked stock Trader?

Big talker, big talker
Just how great you are
How you’ve mastered your life
How all’s up to par

Portraying perfection all day through,
Not showing signs
Of what’s really you

Closet shoved closed
With Armani clothes,
Draping over
Those skeletal bones

Big talker, big talker
Just how rich you are
How you’ve mastered your life
How you’ve come so damn far

Pretend you have friends
And think that it’s true
Till Saturday comes,
You’ve got nothing to do

Alternate persona is that who you are?
Alone,
By yourself,
At the end of a bar?

Waiting for someone
To sit down beside,
Once again spew your greatness
In stories and lies

A Bed to Lay Your Sadness

The pain of trauma
The aftermath,
Different in each eyes
Longing for answers,
The letting go,
For some it is ,easier,
as the time goes by

The pain remains where trauma left me,
Heart crippled every day
The pain so greater for me now
Your trauma,  still alive today

Oh dear child, what can I do?
How can I ease your pain?
How can I show you faith in life
To want to live again?

The answer to your question is
“No it isn’t fair”
But neither is giving in
To pain and cold despair

Outside your room,
A beautiful life
Though longer not complete
Within your soul,
My love and warmth,
Hope, never obsolete

Let me help you, take my hand
Like we’ve done before
We’ll keep on knocking day and night
Until we find your door

The one for you to open up
Where you’ll have a warm safe place,
And a drawer so very, very large
To keep your memories safe

And in this room you will find
Here the very best,
A Bed to lay your sadness on
Your trauma,  laid to rest

Faucet of Thoughts

Mind is empty as thoughts run wild,
View in my eyes but my gaze is blank
Words fill my mouth yet I cannot speak,
Standing straight, upright, though I am weak.

My page is empty just like my head
Numb, I try to write
Body unwilling to follow command,
My brain giving clues it can’t understand

Sit down and relax, turn nervous calm
Open the faucet of thoughts
Let hot anger run with ice cold fears,
Releasing the warmth of liberating tears

Cleansed is now my imprisoned shell,
Light superior to dark
Senses awakened from comatose state,
Once again in control of my own fate

Mind is now full, my thoughts are steady
Panorama fills my eyes
Words in my mouth, so much to say
Standing straight upright, I greet this day

Consumption of life, a temporary state
When its balance goes astray
Confront the moment, and then say good bye
Negative energy, washed away

Oceans Apart; A Duet of Kindred Spirits

Posted by Heather's Starting End on May 16, 2014
Posted in: art, creative writing, duet, Friendship, life, love, poem, poetry, poetry challenge. Tagged: challenge, creative writing, duet poem, friendship poem, kindred spirit, life, love, oceans apart, poetry. 4 Comments

This is my first  Duet composed via email with the lovely blogger and Friend Easter Ellen. Duets are a challenge to bring the individual poetic form and thoughts of each poet together and when it works, it can collide  seamlessly. As writers we work solo, but to welcome another into our mind and collaborate,  can be, as with my time with Easter, wonderful…inspiring. Alternating stanzas, the following poem is our result:

?????????????????????????????????????

We both know sadness, tribulations few
But rejoice in the finding
Of friendship anew
We’ve found ourselves through
Each other’s hearts,
Brought together in spirit

Though oceans apart

Wings of love that disintegrate
Both that of time and land
Trials of life, bridging pain,
That, we will both withstand

Tempestuous weather, our long-known friend
Despite the elements, our hearts to lend
To surge over mountains, cast in our path
Swim through the waters of pain of our past
Rejoice in the day, the day that is new
Rejoice in the memories of what we’ve soared through

Discovered that we have kindred souls
Of paralleled lives; as our stories unfold
Thankful, so thankful, though pains had its day
A sisterhood found, beyond logic of way

As the saying goes
“Birds flock together”
This is the Friendship, of Easter and Heather

Just What If ?

Just what if your memory was erased,
To wake in the morning , a clean fresh slate?
You’ve forgotten it all, nothings been missed
Your soul then empty, get the jist?

Just what if you forgot, to spend your day
With love in your heart, nothing good to say?
You’d go to bed angry and incomplete
Cause you’ve missed simple moments, meant to keep

Just what if you think, it can’t get worse
And find that that saying, is truly a curse?
Cause worse it has gotten, real, real quick
One of your loved ones, terminally sick

Just what if joy, took over your world
Happiness ruled and passion unfurled?
All simple pleasures would be seen and felt
Not caring what cards, that you’ve been dealt

Just what if you accept, here what you have
Stop comparing notes on all that is bad?
Then life’s not a prison, but one you should guard
It’s your choice to live it, happy or hard

Just what if tomorrow, you start a new plan?
To see this gift, Gods placed in your hand
Just what if

A Dream that is Real: An English Sonnet

Posted in: art, life, poem, poetry, poetry challenge, Sonnet, Uncategorized. Tagged: beach poem, cast away troubles, florida, life, poems, poetry, sanibel island, sonnet poems, sunrise, sunset, vacation. 8 Comments

North cap 3 water

A dream that is real comes now in my sight
Glorious hues, early morning sunrise
Sunset abounding, Heaven in the night
My favorite dream before my own eyes

Hands caress the sand of soft white grain beach
Crystal water rushes, greets yearning toes
I can feel it now, not far out of reach
Rejuvenation and peace feeds my soul

To my destiny where I’ll fill my heart
With tranquility that lasts me the year
You know already I won’t want to part
I’d spend eternity rather right here

A barrier island that’s just for me
One casts away troubles and lets life be

Thank you to the Poets Corner for offering the challenge of a 10 syllable, 14 line Sonnet
